Its gettin some amazing scores across the board.

They all pretty much say the multiplayer is lacking in modes but it really doesnt matter as its amazing

Its ranked as the best game for the 360 on Metacritic after 15 reviews which is quite impressive considering man reviewers are saying its quite short and the controls could be better. It must be amazing!

I don't think I'll fall for the hype on this one and rush out and get it on day one after the slightly disappointing Dead Rising. I'll see what people on this and other boards think of it first.

It IS region free (US version working on PAL as I am playing it now Controls take a little while to get used to as it's not your typical run and gun game, but you get used to it. It looks the business! Overall, very impressed.

Its the lowest score I've seen it get though.
1UP gave it 10/10, teamxbox, IGN, gamespot all gave it higher than 10.
From what I've read, the controls are not great, its short, its fairly limited online BUT amazing graphics, amazing sound, amazing gameplay (especially co-op) so thats good enough for me!

I struggle to see how a game that is meant to be short, with less than perfect controls and not the best multiplayer scores so high.

Good graphics = so what? I'm not looking for photo relaistic but as long as they don't affect gameplay anything is alright with me.

Good gameplay = finally talking my language, i really hope it plays well and the gameplay lives up to the hype.

I couldn't care if it looks like sh1t as long as it plays well. I have said it before and i'll say it again. I am a natural doubter and until i play hte game myself I wont believe any reviews.

The main alarm bell ringing in my head is if the controls are weak surely it must impact the gameplay.

Sometimes i think games reviews are just too easy on games

It's not that the controls are weak, the game just plays very differently than how you would expect. They work well when you get used to it. For me, it's no worse than playing Halo 2 with the control pad.

I think you're being overly pessimistic, in general, lately. Try it when it's out and give it a proper chance.

Oh I will give it every chance when it comes out and i'd only be too delighted if it is in fact a fantastic game.

Hopefully the mixed signals I'm picking up are due to the reviewer's writing style rather than any shortcoming with the game

I'm just a skeptic/pessimist at heart and its been a long time since a game has utterly impressed me or made me addicted to it.
