Ipod low battery life?

Hi We bought a family member an ipod A1051 last year for a gift and it has come to light now that the battery only lasts a little over an hour on it. Is this normal? Have to say I wasn't impressed when I heard that and I was about to buy another one. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks.

You shouldnt be impressed, that doesnt seem to be normal, most poeple on here seem happy with their iPod batteries.

You could try repair the battery, or maybe send it back to apple.

Do a search if that doesnt help, there are hundreds of threads on here about iPod batteries.
