Well, do ya, punk?

Em, yeah, been thinking about this since this weekend when I trumped one of my mates with every favourable outcome possible for me, while he got the short straw every time. I was luckier, simple as.

So do any of you feel like you have especially good luck? Especially bad luck? Do you believe in 'having' luck at all? Personally, in a bigger picture kind of way, I don't.

So is Lady Luck your bitch or is she a cruel mistress?

The only time the mate I mentioned above has come out on top lately is that when we both bought our kinder buenos at lunchtime, mine was slightly more melted than his when I opened it. Curse my luck :mad:

I would imagine that if you enter 100's of competitions a week and win oneor two prizes that would be the law of averages rather than luck. If you enter only three competitions a week and win three prizes...that's luck!

Me...no luck for a while now but I have had my lucky streaks (hey, that could be the name of a Game Show!) in the past.

I got second place in a fancy dress competition when I was 6. My parents didn't kill me when I put a golf ball through the window at 8. When I was 10 I got a kiss from a real stunner and was the man of the class until one of the lads got a kiss from her the next week. Yep, I've been real lucky, yes sir-ee!

Wow, reading that has actually made me consider listening to the radio...

Well, I found €20 on my way to the shop earlier, so today at least I'm feeling lucky!
But, something extremely lucky happened me around 10 months ago and I think it used all my luck for this year(at least)! 'Cause I've had some serious streaks of bad luck, with no good luck to compensate. In particular over the past while I've been sick, have been attacked, failed exams, lost money, lost various other items...to name but a few examples and not to mention some of the stuff thats happened on the poker tables.

I haven't been killing spiders, walking under ladders, breaking mirrors etc. so I don't know where its coming from, but hopefully that €20 was an indication of things to come...God knows I'm due some good luck after everything I've been through lately!

I wouldn't say thats down to luck as much as entering a lot of competitions! I knew the fifth song in that competition 98fm did recently and still didn't bother ringing in, have no idea why. Would have got £35,000.

I've pretty average to crap luck when it comes to most things, except Blackjack. Faith in the cards or some such.

I'm not particularly lucky or unlucky day to day - I have to say, tho, I seem to have a knack of pulling an ace out of my sleeve when I need it most. I've blundered into a few scrapes and lucked my way out of them without a mark (mostly) so I am lucky but I don't take it for granted.

A weekend in Cork. Yes, lady luck has certinly blessed him.
I consider myself lucky, although it's more to do with the quality of life than prize winning, if that makes any sense.

A guy in a petrol station talked me into entering an instore competition even though I was reluctant because I'd never won anything in my life. When I went in to collect my price after the phone call to tell me I'd won, he laughed his arse off when he reminded me I told him I'd never win. After that I entered everything I saw and actually won two really good prices within about a month...then I went back to not entering anything and moaning about my bad luck. Moral of the story: you've got to be in to win ©

Ha ha ha, I am not a shill.

I love Radio, I am tuned in all day, from 7.30 in the morning, till about 7.30 in the evening - and I f I go for a walk in the evening I will tune in again.

Even as a kid I was radio obsessed, and I won a few cool things - (at the time they included super cool things like a Boyzone Jacket and autographed CD, a Chocolate Hamper, and and some tickets to Brendan O Carroll's show, which I was actually too young to attend - Oh, and I won on Tony Fenton's Hot-line too )

Sure if I am tuned in, I may as well enter the competitions, and for the price of a few txt messages I haven't done to badly at all.

My boyfriend is the jammiest person I know, has gotten in excess of 8 free trips in the last 12 months from college, his parents etc ( we are talking USA, Finland, Madrid, ) He is currently in Italy for one month, flights & accomodation paid & he is will more than likely be paid his salary at home & there !!!!

This is just an example, but he just lands on his feet all the time. Always pulls it out of the bag at the last minute and gets First Class Honours in all his exams etc.

I am fairly unlucky but I do think that I benefit from his good luck just by being there when Lady Luck shines on him !
