I've got clearwire running fine on my main XP computer but want to add a second PC with windows ME on the same web connection

It's got a network card installed but if I plug the network cable into it I can't see how to get it to know it is on the net. So how do I go about getting it to automatically to see the network there and use that for the web

Also, to share the broadband line, do I need a router which splits the line and then have a network cable running to both PCs or is an 'Ethernet Switch' ok for this as that is what I was told by someone in an electronics shop

    thanks
