360 query... about purchasing

    alright lads, i got a 360 at launch and it was fine for a few months, then the poor girl decided to show off her ring............... of red lights.

    no problem, you should expect such things when buying anything at launch. microsoft were lovely and gave me a refurb. the disc tray didn't open on that. bugger me. sent it back. got another refurb, worked fine for a while and then broke. so, 3 360's later i hedged my bets and got my money back (no problems at all, microsoft really sorted their customer support out this gen).

    but now i'm looking at the game i was waiting for... well, almost (it's not halo :p)... gears of war. i must say i nearly cry looking at the special edition tin, knowing it's a 360 title that i can't simply buy on PC. so, i think it's time to re-invest that cash into another 360. but it's been a year, so is there anywhere i can get a bargain? i know they're not dropping the price (why would they?), and i know i don't want a core. so, any cheap enough ones floating about?

    (i know that was a long enough post that summed up could be "any cheap places to buy 360 premiums?"... but i had a story to tell :D)

    If you have a realtive in england play.com are giving a good deal Premium Console + PGR and extra wireless controller for only €440.

    Apart from that wait till next month when all the bundle deals will be coming in to get 360's sold for christmas.

    Oh by the way my 360 is in Germany waiting to get repaired that red ring of light gang really does get around.

    it's a fact of life really. my xbox1 broke, my ps2 broke and my psp had dead pixels. comes with the territory. it's just the fact that now the 360 genuinely has great titles worth spending €400 for...

    Wait for the xtravision deal. For €450 you will get the premium console and 4 games including Gears of War..... sorted :D

    We have that too in GAME. Except we throw in Table Tennis all for €440.

    wow, i work there and didn't know about it. in fact, i was at the training thing the OP there mentioned, and i didn't know about it. strange :o
