    Hi all.

Myself and Mrs Spurs are planning a shopping trip to either NY or Chacigo in January.

We had wanted to go in December but couldnt get the holidays from work.

Any thoughts on which is the best? We have been to NY befor but not to Chicago?

Also, we are thinking of pushing it out till the end of January. Is this too late for the sales?

Thanks in advance for you help/replies.

    MH

Well for cost alone I would recommend Chicago. Similar hotels are twice the price in manhattan as they are in Chicago.

Was in Chicago about 5 years ago and thought the shopping was very good. Excellent restaurants and nightlife too. Home of the pizza pie. :D

I'm the opposite. Been to Chicago but not New York.
Chicago is great in its own right and I really feel like heading back there. As for the pizza pie. I nearly choked on one as the cheese was so thick but still pretty nice.

I have been to both NYC and Chicago. In january the hotels will be pretty cheap. Chicago will be colder than NYC in Jan. Iwould recommend NYC over Chicago any day for shopping. There are some great shopping outles one is Jersey Gardens thier web site is www.jerseygardens.com all the big stores have an outlet there and is only 20 mins from NYC by bus.

Sorry, I meant shopping sales in New york!

Had already booked the flights for 133 each way. Possibly should have waited but then again, you never know!
