Rigged in my favour for 3 hands.
    Get in.
Didn't want to give my money to that welching luckfúck Murray though.

    Yeah. WTF?

Marq is a pure unadulterated scumbox, the Reginald Lyons of poker if you will. Didn't even make a silly excuse about watching MOTD, just won a big pot, sat out, and stayed observing the game and laughing at people.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,434 ✭✭✭cardshark202

Yes this game seems to bring out the scumboxes of the poker forum. And the only true luckbox will win. I will be back for vengeance next time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,886 ✭✭✭Marq

Actually I made a bowl of popcorn, opened a beer, then came back, observed the game and laughed at people.
I got out of the game because I didn't want to flip a coin with an angle-shooting luckrag like you for a monkey.
I'm scared money, and perfectly happy to admit it.

Be happy with your 500 dollars you greedy pig.

Hey there's nothing wrong with a man quitting to watch Spurs totally play the Chel$ki scum off the pitch :):):)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,886 ✭✭✭Marq

Yeah this has been the best day of the year for Spurs fans.
We beat chelsea in a cracker of a game at the lane and watch Arsenal go down to the Hammers.

btw, my favourite part of the blind omaha was just after I sat out: Murray says "Marq if you hit and run I'll never talk to you again", as if that might make me get back into the game.
    lol

I'd called definate last hand then I get dealt a decent one and autoraised. Then I think that if I stick it in with this decent hand after I'd already said I wouldn't be playing anymore before I got up to $160 everyone would think I was angle shooting and only sticking it because it was a good hand. What I should have done is ask what the players preferred I did but I didn't think to. I was clearly happy to stick it in with crap the next hand after I got whined at.

    Pure cheating.
You quite blatantly and deliberately hit and ran. If $10 blind omaha makes you scared enough money to be such a nit then you shouldn't have played in the first place. Though don't let any of that stop you from calling me on my etiquette.
Yes this game seems to bring out the scumboxes of the poker forum.
    Screw you dude.

Hey I was saying it in jest. You should not have folded there though but I am not one to bear grudges.

Hitting and running isn't against the rules of blind omaha. Sitting in and not shoving your tank in the middle is.

And don't take it so seriously Rossa. I'm pretty sure everyone is taking the piss.

You shouldn't be nitting up the game though

Blind Omaha always seems so innocent until people realise they are playing with serious money!

    4 new rules suggested!

A player can leave at ANY time once they have had a certain amount of buy ins (eg: 10 buy ins).
A player can also leave once their stack is over a certain amount of buy ins (eg 10 buyins would be fair IMO)
Another way out is to annouce they are leaving and play a further 10 hands.
If a player is dealt a hand, but does not get it all in they must forfeit half their stack to the shortest stack on the table. This includes the times where some idiot forgets to raise pre-flop and player folds the flop.

    What you think?

no I think the opposite, you can leave if you have no money in front of you, but if you have a load of other people's money you should have to give 10 hands notice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,434 ✭✭✭cardshark202

I would say 5 hands would be enough, but 10 is fine too.
And if you are dealt in and fold at any stage, I think you must be forced to raise and fold at least half your stack in the next hand.

Problem with this is, I was in for $440 a while ago. I had gotten lucky a few times and was sitting on $560. I really wanted out cause 440 was a good % of my roll on that site, but if I had to go all in for another 10 hands (even 2 hands) I was in trouble.

How about a compromise of 5 hands?
    eg:

If you want out you must announce it and play 5 hands.

If you have $0 (or are behind/breaking even - eg you are in for 300 and have 290 in front) you can get out. If you are in for 300 and want to leave, but you have 310 in front of you.. you must annouce you are leaving b4 the start of the next hand, put in 10 and auto fold (even if you hit the nuts).

If you are dealt a hand but fold b4 the river, you must donate half the amount you had at the start of the hand to the next hand. You can do this by raising and folding the next hand pre-flop. This might be too complicated and some sites might not like this. Any suggestions?

the whole idea of putting rules in it is silly, everyone should just play like gentlemen and shun those who refuse to.

    sick sick game

    ak47 cheated a lot

i was up to 800, lost it all to rudolph when i had to put 350 in with 2nd pair on 765 flop. rudolph won 900 with top pair i think!! lol

rudolph got to 1600 and is now on 20/40.

I bought back in for 40 an got it to 860 again and then the game died.

You mean flat out cheated. He only put the money in with monsters and folded everything else. Justice was served though

I go raoed. kept hitting sets and 2 pair on the flop only to be destroyrd by the river. sick sick fun

took the 860 to 20/40. got it all in with JJ on a KJx board against AK. He hit running KK to make quads and take the 2k pot. lol!!

i suppose i lucked out so many times in the blind omaha i deserved it!!

This is like saying that I shouldn't buy a lotto ticket unless I'm prepared to stick my winnings on red.

I think this blind omaha malarkey is utterly mental. Once one player has a grossly oversized stack it's almost impossible for anyone else to make money at the game. Especially when the game is shorthanded.
10 hands notice is far too much. If someone at the table has you covered it's highly unlikely that you'll get out with your profit intact after ten blind hands.

I managed to get from 40 to 1400 despite Blahfish having 1k+, we were 5 handed at the time.

is everyone at the table in the know or are there one or two guys going wtf and waiting for a monster. One guy was folding a lot and I'd just love to see his face. Five strangers (or so he thinks) join the table and start reraising every hand every pot, lol. Do ye tell others at the table what is going on, not that you'd need a degree to cop it.

OK point taken. I'll try not to nit up the game in future.
And then maybe Murray will talk to me.

Blahfish hit 2k once against flipper who had a wrap but blahs 33 held up, think they got nearly 1k each in.

That was deserved as Flipper had been folding flops in that game. Thank Christ Doyles Room wouldnt let me lodge money on my credit card. Giving Mike $25 was enough punishment for me.

just so Ive got this right
everyone buys in for $10 (on stars)
    everyone goes all in
    someone wins
    repeat ad nauseaum

If you are ahead, when/how do you quit without it looking like hit and run
eg. you get up to $400
10 hands could realistically bust you again could it not?

At what point do you give up 5/10 buyins ?

    No-one is allowed fold/Sit out?
