Firstly thank you to all players who supported the monthly deep stack game.

After the success of last Mondays Satellite we have decided to run it again this week same structure same buy in €50+5.
Last week we generated 1 ticket for the main event plus a cash breakdown for 2nd to 6th place.
If we can get a slightly better turn out this week we should easily get a second and possibly a third ticket.

I am trying to give all players as many opportunities to qualify for what should be one of the best tournaments this year.

I am going to make my long awaited debut at the SE tomorrow night.
Just a few questions, Is this a multi rebuy ? What time does it start at ? Where is the best spot for parking ? Oh and how many runners did this get last week ?

Is that too many questions ?

hey dudes...
just home after another enjoyable tournie in the SE....
i am pleased to post that i took tonights game down [50euro multi rebuy] and have won my ticket into the EPM's main event....


i wasnt even going to go in as i was in collage until 10pm, i rang ahead and asked how long i had to make it in, John told me 20min's so i put the foot down and raced over, just made the last three hands before the break, just had one rebuy.. [100euro]...

i think there was a total of about 40 runners... one ticket up for grabs and some cash for 2nd, 3rd and 4th....


anyway here's the last hand of the night [all comments welcomed]
i have about 130K chips - other guy 120K
blinds @ 1500 & 3000 ante 300
im in the BB look down at 8 5c - hoping there's no raise. guy just calls
flop comes down 8d 8h 5h - lovely im thinking how the hell am i going to play this....
anyway the guy just checks and so do i, im hoping he's on a flush draw..
the turn is Js.. guy thinks for a min and then checks.... so im thinking will i bet, only hand out there to beat me is pocket jacks - i just check....
river comes down 7d....
guy bets 10k..... i put on the act wait a couple of min's then i min raise him 20K.... guy gives me a smile and say's all in.... [im thinking no you didn't slow play the hooks]
anyway i say call.....
guy turns over pocket 55.... :eek: ???????
[guy was also thinking how the hell am i going to play this]


i was really pleased as i came second in this game lastweek and was gutted as there was only one ticket up for grabs....

Congrats Wes - Im delighted for ya, great result. what a cooler of a hand for your oponent to go out on - a real TV hand. At least thats you out of the way for tonight.

Congrats Wes. U deserve it after being so close last week. It'l be good to see a few friendly faces at the ME next weekend!

About the hand, i wouldnt have checked the turn. At the moment J8 beats you aswel and if he has Q8,K8,A8 or any overpair to 8s, youre giving him a free card to take your ticket away so i think a bet here is a must.

Also if he's on a flushdraw, its better to make him pay to chase it, if he misses the river, he's not gonna pay u off anyway.

I think you should bet the turn in that last hand but it hardly matters.

I don't worry about the guy having a JJ or J8 holding at this stage there is no way you aren't looking to get it all in at this stage so just concentrate on doing that and if its a cooler its a cooler imo.

tony very valid point there was a couple of more hands out there to beat me or possible hands, but if im honest i dont think i'd be able to drop the hand especially after floping it and it being heads up?????....
anyway its something to think about nice one.....
