hi, im getting a 15" lcd monitor soon. im also getting a type of tv tuner that allows s-video to convert to vga signal and connec to the monitor.

now that box only outputs to 800x600 pixels and the 15" is 1024x768. will that be a problem in that if it is receiving an input of 800x600, itll only show it in a window size instead of full screen?there is no way of chaing the resolution from the box and i dont think u can directly on the lcd monitor. (there are no pc involved).

will that be the case?or the 800x600 will play fine full screen on the lcd monitor?

thanks for replying as soon as possible!

well it depends, if software is involved I'm sure the S-Video output will be in a window which you can resize to whatever you want, otherwise it'll just output 800x600 by default.

The Avermedia Box 7 unit supports up 1280x1024 you can select any resolution below that either through the menu such as 1024x768 if you want to run at the native res of the LCD panel.

800x600 will probably display at full screen on the monitor.

However it will look slightly blurry, as does any resolution that doesnt run at the monitors native resolution.

It probably wont matter too much with a TV signal.
