Going to Rome for Christmas and looking for some recommendations? Hotels - somewhere not too expensive but with a bit of luxury it is Christmas after all! Also any recommendations for what to do, what about the Christmas Eve mass in the Vatican - can anyone stroll in or do you need tickets? Thanks:)

Nice luxurious hotel I stayed in there is Hotel Universo, part of the Best Western group. Its located near the Termini which is handy if you want to grab a train in a hurry (and do a spot of shopping too!)
