o.k, details are hazy at this stage and it this was one of only a few interesting hands played in this session.

Regency 1/2 NL Live game last weekend.

    Hero (SB €1.3k)
    Villain1 (Button €450)
    Villain2 (€900 BB).

Reads..... Villain 1. Is your average inexperienced ABC player i have not seen him make any mistakes and when he has bet he has generally had the goods.

Villain 2 in contrast is a loosey goosey French maniac, he's donated approx. 40% of my current stack by playing his hands terribly and allowing me to draw out free and has subesequently paid me off, he has however recomposed himself somewhat and has started playing well. I don't particularly want to get involved too much with him considering his stack size(depending of my hand naturally), when he first came to my table it was a following a horrible tourney exiting beat.

    ACTION:

Folded to villain 1 on the button and he makes it 14 to go, i can't peg him for a hand, as he has previously raised with a wide range of hands in late position ranging from AK - AA small pairs upwards (he got his stack by raising with 66 and flopping a set)

Considering my implied odds and the fact that i'm sure our loosey goosey will join the action I decide to take a flop and not get carried away by raising with my AQ OOP as soooted as it is.

Our flop is somewhat favourable to us.

    2d 8d Js

Rather than check call a bet I decide to lead out to mask my draw if it hits.

I lead for €25, loosey goosey pauses for a while and makes it 75 (that didn't go to plan).

Villain 1 much to my Horror makes it 250 to go.

These players...they show you now respect.... :)

400 in the pot, action is now on you to call 225.

to be honest i'd probally fold cause of my stack size. i woulndt see the need for a need a 50-50 gamble.

    So fold then.

    I fold here.
V1 stinks of a hand if his previous play is anything to go by, top pair or over pair if your read is correct.
V2 could be drawing also or caught a little of it.
It is V1 is the issue IMO, if I had V2 isolated I would push.

What was your play & how did it work out?

you have somewhere between 7 and 15 outs twice
If you think villain will ever lay down to a re-raise or that this is sometimes worse than AJ I would push if not i would give loosey goosey a withering look and fold

I take from your post he wouldnt do this with 9tds

Given the action after I show strength in the pot it's very difficult to call this bet, I don't calling is even an option.

Villain 1 was my main concern and i was not being laid odds to call, however if loosey goosey joins the action, I may be inclined to call.

I studied villain 1 who looked scarily strong villain 2 looked like he wanted to get sick, so I felt that if I push/call only one person is going to see the turn and river with me.

I gave him credit for a set of Jacks and folded, villain 2 also folded and flashed two diamonds

Set of jacks was confirmed by the villain 5 minutes later, it had great potential to be a big train wreck, I just wish I had checked the flop as then it's costing alot less to see a potential d turn in which case I take down a monster pot...

I'm going to start checking these big draws out of position for a while and see how that works out.

    i would fold that hand.
given what BB plays like i would also check here as he is likely to call our bet with any hand really .
