Webcam TV card conflict

I'm getting a conflict between my tv card (Hauppage Win2000) and my webcam when I try to use skype video.
In order to use skype video I have to go into Device Manager and disable the TV card which isn't an ideal solution.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and have any advice?

    Thanks in advance :)

In the tools->options\video menu is the webcam set as the default device ?

Skype also allows you to set up which video capture device you use in Tools/Options: Video[beta]/Select webcam. Though this might be a problem if your tv card keeps trying to assert itself as a default device all the time, like a lot of bluetooth stacks do with audio.

When I encountered this I often thought about sending people TV over skype, which would be insane.

I re-installed the drivers for the webcam ( a cheap and cheerful Canyon CN-WCAM21) and this was picked up in skype in the Tools->Options->Video->Select Webcam drop down list.
I'm 99% sure that it only had the Default Device and TV Card as options previously.
    Anyhow, problem solved and thanks.
