Annoying Issues !! Soundcard.

Ok, To cut a long story short I just got a replacement Socket 754 Board for one of my systems, As the other one was going wiggy and blue screening. Anyway, Its all going fine until I noticed something yesterday. Its been happening since I got the board ( thursday ).

Say I turn on the system, It boots up but only one side ( right channel ) of the sound works. I restart the system ( without it loosing power / powering off ) and both channels of the sound work. So basically when ever the system shuts down and I turn it back on again only 1 side of the sound works. Meaning I have to restart it then for the 2 channels to work.

I have tried few drivers its not a driver issues, Reason being the Monitor speakers I use. If I turn up the Line level on the left speaker when only the right speaker is working I can FAINTLY hear the audio breaking through. I restart it and its fine. Also I know its not cable I am using, I have good monitor speakers and also I have tried hooking an amplifier AND headphones, Same story with them. A little side note, One of the times I was trying to get it to work I turned up the line output on the soundcard to full and At a peak during the sound the right audio channel sort of " clicked " into place and it continued to work as normal until the system was powered down.

1 Last thing  I don't think its the jack on the soundcard output, I have taken it out and there isn't any damage to it nor is there any crackles or noises coming from the speakers if I move the jack in the soundcard. Also it is a Creative Audigy 2 ZS with just the PCI card, If that helps. I have tried switching PCI slot too on the board to no avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've been trying to get this machine back up now for 3 weeks as I use it for audio work and its wrecking me head.

    Thanks.

Ok I have it sorted. Was a faulty soundcard, Must of knocked it in the case sometime or something although I cant see any damage nor any Burst cap's. But I put it in another PC and the same thing was happening, thankfully i have 2 Audigy 2 ZS'. I am also discovering that it was the soundcard in the 1st place that made the other motherboard go *****D. So the original board is obviously fine as I expected. Originally to tell you's the story I put a new hard drive it bla bla bla, And since then I was getting BSOD'. Suddenly it wasnt detecting the soundcard, Then it wasnt taking anything on PCI slots when ever the soundcard was in. Was getting all kinds of errors. That is what I discovered after working on the machine for a few days. Then I got the new board, Worked fine until I noticed no sound from thr right speakers, so i investigated it further and yes it was a bogey sound card. Oh well, atleast its sorted.

What a waste of money Time and frustration, This has been going on for 2 weeks now.
