Image Copyright Question

    Hello:

I used to work as a graphic designer in a medium size company in Dublin.

Now I want to start my own freelance career and I need to know if I will incurre in a copyright infrigment

showing to my prospect clients the work I have done while employed for the company I mentioned.

Must say that I'm the author of these images and my only intention is to show them as part of my portfolio

in order to demonstrate my technical/artistic habilities and skills.

I never signed a contract transfering authorship to my previous company, even though I realise they surely

have the ownership and right to use them since I was their employee at the time.

Can anyone prohibit me to show (ONLY TO SHOW) to my prospect clients my own work, even If I don't leave

a digital or hardcopy or distribute it by any means?

Would you have any information about this?

    Best regards

    Rose Mary.

There should be no problem unless you have signed a confidentiality agreement with your previous employer.

Not so, you must have approval of copyright owner to use materials.
