Changing Jobs?

Ok I am working in a local hotel as a kitchen porter. Today I was offered a job in a local shop. I am thinking about changing. I am 16 at the moment and have been paying Emergency Tax for some time now. I sent off the form to claim it back there about 2 weeks ago. I still haven't heard or recieved anything back. My wages are paid into my bank account. I heard that you would recieve the tax back in your wages. When I was filling out the form, I put down my employers information as being the hotel. I have to questions.

    1) If I change job, how will my tax be paid back to me? Will my current employer(hotel) pay it into my account if I leave their job, or will my new employer pay it into my wages.

    2) Do I need a P45 when changing job? What is it and where do I get one?

One more thing, I am still on Emergency Tax, lost less than half my wages this week in tax. Thanks in advance to anyone who replys to this thread.

if you change the hotel will give you a P45 and you give that to the shop then.

Im not sure who would pay you back the emergency tax but you'll get it back for definate, you wont lose out.

once the tax office set you up you stop paying emergency and you wont lose as much of your wages

Once you set up your tax properly, you'll get the tax back through your wages. Do you get wage slips, telling you how much you've got payed? If not, say so.
