    My friend lives in London & I live in Limerick but we want to treat ourselves to a couple of days in Europe before Christmas. We don't want to spend a fortune getting there or staying - much rather spend money on clothes, pubs, sites etc. Any suggestions for anywhere that's cheap to eat out in but has a good nightlife & something to do during the day?? I've been to Krakow in April & it had everything like that but don't want to go back this time.
    So any place that anyone has been to that fits the bill for two girls to go to? I don't mind traveling to Stn to go from there with her.... need to book in next few days... Tks ;)

    Barcelona is a great city. There's loads to do, a good nightlife and eating out isnt too expensive.

    Tks - I'll look at that. I've been looking at Rome too cause I'd really love to go there but it seems FR don't fly in there until almost midnight on Tues so I guess that is really a waste of a nights accommodation.... Any clue about Madrid.... fare is pretty good there going out Tues - Sat... Will check Barcelona now...
