We've an old Quadra 800, that I was wondering what I could use for? I could hook it up the web via a Ethernet hub.

To be honest most web sites these days expect a modern web browser, however I suppose you could use it for word processing and email.

Also Warcraft and Starcraft are both excellent games that will run very well on the Quadra 800.

Yeah, used to be you could get away with iCab and some older browsers.

Before I left for the states a month ago I was using a B&W G3 (overclocked of course) and occasionally the Classic to play prince of persia.

I think anything G4 or newer isn't really that old.

Are you all running OS9 and earlier?

I think the classic ran 7.0. I sometimes use 9 on other machines, but not very often.

Had a Mac 20th Anniversary Machine running 8.6 I think until last year.

Still use a Cube connected to my TV for music and 'net.

Also had a 350MHz G3 iMac until recently, gave it away to a good home and it's still in use running Panther.

Bondi Blue 1998 iMac G3 233mhz, 256MB ram. I use it as a synth. The fans are getting a bit loud though. It still looks great.

My kids use an old Lombard (PowerBook G3/333MHz) on a daily basis for music, websurfing and email - tricked out to run Tiger with wireless, CD burner and 40 GB drive. I'm also still using an iMac G3 266 MHz and a tray-loading 333MHz iMac G3 fairly regularly. For my day-to-day work I'm using a crocked-out G4 TiBook with lots of bits hanging off it, it's about to die. So today's news (core 2 duo MacBook) makes me quite happy, but makes my credit card uneasy.
