My gf loves Parfums DelRae's Bois De Paradis and I can't disagree with her, amazing smell!

Dolce & Gabbanna's Light Blue is really nice and fresh. It suits young people. Sniff a few things at the perfume counters yourself, cos you'll want to like the smell of what she'll be wearing!

Armani City Glam is nice, and not too summery either.

The Morgan ones are nice, and not too expensive either.
Aqua Di Gio is lovely too, as is any of the Britney Spears ones, especially In Control...it smells like candyfloss!

I wear Ralph by Ralph Lauren, and I like it a lot. It's sweet and not too strong.

Me & my sister both wear that, 1 of my favourites :)

Also like Amor amor by cacharel, mmmm :)

Hugo Deep Red... it's mmhm x infinity, great for going out, although I like wearing it during the day too because it smells so edible. I have a personal grá for Gucci Rush. Cacharel Amor Amor or Noa are both lovely. Everyone's wearing Light Blue at the moment so I think it's getting boring - just my opinion.

If you're interested, Tesco are doing some perfumes - Burberry something, DKNY, Gucci Envy, Hugo Deep Red, Light Blue etc. for a few quid less than most places at the moment. I'm sure there are other fragrances too, they're just the ones I can remember. They have mens ones too. I guess it's the bigger stores too.

Best of luck, perfume is a pretty personal thing, so it's sometimes hard to get right. Plus, it's very hard to go somewhere and get objective advice on the topic in-store, due to the department/concession basis of the make-up and perfume sales in most places these days.

Piste, I adored Exclamation i too, I have no idea where it went! It was really inexpensive and smelled lovely. I still have an old bottle and even though it's empty I can smell the perfume off it... delish. I also quite like Diesel Plus Plus Feminine. Cheap, cheerful, pretty. It's a tiny bit like Hugo Deep Red - probably the citrus-y notes I think I smell. Hehe.

The perfumes I've always remembered are:

Issay Miyake (the tall thin triangle bottle, think its called L'Eau D'Issey femme or woman)
    Jean Paul Gaultier
    Anais Anais
    Allure

    Dior Addict

    Aqua Di Gio

I have the new boss femme and its gorg!! D&G light blue is nice but its not different at all-every teenager in the country wears it-no offence to anyone who does! Carolina Herrera 212 is a great fresh one too! there are some beautiful perfumes out there now. my advice is to get yourself down to your local boots fragrance counter or the perfume shop, you can smell all on offer then and im sure you'll come out with a winner!

My better half has Gucci Rush (I got her that one)
    Lacoste Touch of Beige (lovely)
Thierry Muglier Alien (don't use much, it's very strong)
They're the ones I like best from her collection. They're all gorgeous.

    Jeez...

Well at least someone mentioned Miyake, but totally forgotten Kenzo.
Anyways: who the girl is? tall, small, slim, not slim, blond, brunette?
sophisticated - Miyake, Kenzo, Paul Smith, some of the Lauren
not so - gucci, dkny and all the rest of this. Escada is very nice one :)
