Anybody playing this at all? A demo is available over steam and I had a go last night, its very simple to pick up but dammit, its hard to master. Timing appears to be the major factor in it.

You start at defcon 5 and place your units, subs, aircraft carriers, airbases, radars, and missile silos.

Defcon 4 allows you to engage in naval battles and launch recon planes.

Defcon 3 allows you to launch bombers.

Not sure what defcon 2 allows.

And at defcon 1 you can unleash all your nukes, the trick is to make sure they all hit home at the same time to swamp the AA defenses of the enemy.

I recommend giving the demo a go which allows for 1v1 multiplayer/computer games and has a good tutorial.

Yeah would agree with tba. Its good simple yet addictive game. Well worth trying.

Just in case you where wonder defcon 2 is no different to defcon 3 except it one step closer to defcon one...aka DOOMSDAY!
