I had a program that I think was called pdfwriter but it made everything fuzzy and soft whereas I need to convert this for print so it needs to still look good. Any pointers?

i've used www.pdfonline.com before with good results

you upload the file then you supply your email address and they mail it back to you almost instantiously.

openoffice should also have the ability to convert to pdf aswell.

PrimoPDF works greak, just install it and then select it as your printer when printing and it will saving your doc as a pdf. I used it for printing my thesis and it worked perfect.
