    Hi all,

I'm just trying to see if there would be much interest in a big buy-in 2 day event in the Sligo/Leitrim area?

I'm thinking along the lines of a €320 + €30 or bigger but just want to see if players are interested. Possible date would be the last Saturday of November/ first Saturday of December.

The usual professional set-up would be a part of all this.

    Stephen.

    Hi Stephen

I think your best bet would be to come a little further West. Castlebar is ripe for the picking. The TF is a good venue and I think you'd get the players but you'd have to advertise. I'd also recommend running sats for it. And maybe I could help out at that end. The pub tourneys in Westport, Kiltimagh and Castlebar get around thirty to forty players a time and usually they're not the same people. So there are players in the area... and Castlebar would get the Mayo, Galway and Sligo players I think. I myself would travel to Sligo and have done... There have as you know been events in Sligo at the Clarion but Neither Pokerevents or GJP have gone back there because of lowish turnouts. A €200 + €20 might be a better way to go if you're willing to try it. Hope that helps.

    Cheers Len,

I've been talking to Paul in the Adelaide Casino and they are probably going to host an event for us.

I'll advertise it and if you know anyone that will run satellites that would be great.
If it is supported I'm hoping to get a National Casino Clubs Tour going whereby each club can run qualifiers and send players to different locations around the country but this of course depends on the clubs themselves.

It would be so easy to run a major event in each casino and culminate it in a massive end of year tournament.

I will definitely look into running one closer to you if you think the players there would want it.
    Talk to you soon mate.
