playing stuff from ipod on my lappy

    hi I just upgraded to a 60G video Ipod and have gathered quite a few movies on the hard drive that I can watch on my laptop. the problem I am having is that I keep getting stopped by a message telling me that the device can perform faster. this stops whatever I am playing and can become quite irritating. does anyone know how to stop this

    Had something similar a while ago, upgraded the USB ports and it stopped.

    how do I do that.
    is it a case of downloading driver updates or do I need to buy new hardware

    Depends on your laptop. Does it have USB1.1 or USB2 ports? (USB2 ports are roughly 40 times faster than USB1.1 ports, hence will transfer data faster from a USB2 compatible device such as the iPod, hence are better for higher bandwidth applications such as watching videos.)

    If the laptop has USB1.1 ports, you may need to buy a USB2 port card for the PCMCIA slot. If it has USB2 ports, you may just need to upgrade your Windows USB drivers, for which you'll have to check your laptop manufacturers web site.
