Frequencies & channels in the canaries

Hi, a bit new to this and looking for info on how to tune In UK free Channels on a Sky Digibox in Gran Canaria. Frequencies etc for the different channels and any other free channels I can receive. Can anyone advise or direct me to web source. Thanks

But tbh, I do not think you will get the likes of BBC and ITV in Gran Canaria as the 2D Astra beam is only intended for UK and IRL, with beams reaching just into France etc.

Thank you for the response. I had looked at the Sticky but that is UK only as I understand and canaries are covered by Astra 2 south beam I believe which uses a different set of frequencies settings.
I found it very difficult to get any real info locally in the area.
Some BBC channels but not all are on 12188 H 27.5 2/3 and ITV etc?
Will look through the web connections you given me.

If you can't get Astra 2D and rely on only the south beam you essentially miss most of the ITV and BBC channels. There is no duplication. Reception is poor in Canaries. You would need a very very large dish.

The dish is 3m and feeding 3 or 4 apartments.
But talking to the locals about settings and frequencies is difficult and not very forthcoming on facts, only that it is a poor signal in the canaries.

Probabily ITV/BBC only during some times of day. The frequencies are as per the stickies. There are no alternates. Indeed as Zaphod points out 3m is a minimum. With larger dishes too, even a tiny satellite inclination will mak ethe signal vanish twice a day. Even the non-inclined satellites have a slight inclination to save fuel. On 1.2m and less it can't be noticed. On 3m it will be.
