Small but annoying problem , our WJD 1257 Zanussi washing machine (3.5 yrs old) leaves the fabric softener section filled with water at the end of wash cycles, which means the drawer has to be taken out to be emptied each time before refilling with fabric softener for the next wash.

Has anyone had this before and solved themselves and if not can anyone recommend someone near Dun Laoghaire who can service this?

    Regards

Yes, we had the same problem. It was caused by Mrs Wishbone Ash carelessly spilling powder into the conditioner compartment and blocking it's drain hole. Put the powder in carefully and use very little. There is no need to fill the drawer - approx one third of a standard tea mug is enough for a wash. Liquid capsules that go into the drum will also solve the problem ;).

When you were removing the drawer to empty out the water, did you clear the conditioner drainhole?

    Thanks Wishbone Ash
One of the kids had been playing with the powder and while the hole seemed clear I have thoroughly recleaned and see how it will work.
