3-5% if you finish in the top 2 sometimes 3rd, 5% if its a small tournament down to 3% for a bigger win.

I tip every pot i win in a cash game, even if its only a fiver.

If i win a big pot, i'll usually give a larger tip.

I tip a euro everytime I win a pot, more if I win a big pot, if everyone only tipped when they won the standard of cash game dealers would drop very quickly as there would be more money to be made working in McDonalds doing easier work with better hours.

Most regular players tip every time they win a pot, and if I have had a good night, I will throw a few extra when I am leaving the table.

I play 1/2 holdem limit at the fitz. I always tip €1 and 3 to 5 if its a big pot. i reckon most people tip similar amounts. However sometimes i wonder if i should give up playing and start dealing. (cards, that is, theres no doubt how profitable the other type of dealing is!!).

At approx 30 hands an hour maybe 5 are big pots. this results in a dealer tip of approx 40 to 50 euro per hour. Add on a wage of 7 to 10 per hour and it adds up to a fair amount. now I'm not knocking dealers and think the fitz dealers are among the most professional i've encountered. however I'd like to know if they get all the tips or how they are shared. Also what is their basic wage?

I think that if you work through the nite/weekends you should be paid accordingly. In addition IMO dealing is much more skilled than i first thought. It's only when you have a bad/below average dealer that you appreciate the skill and experience of most (if not all) of the fitz dealers.

I can guarantee you that there isnt a dealer in the country getting that kind of money.

try more like 20 hands per hour. and that include 1-2 a round that are folded to the Button. there are always 1-2 checked down too. its nt that profitable and im pretty sure the dealers rely on tips for wages. i always tip €1 per hand or more for pots over €100 as they are onyl trying to make a living. with tournaments, 5% is about the norm.

So an average of 2euro a pot from every1 @ 15 tippable pots per hour = 30 (more if she's hot)
    + rake of 10 euro/hr / person = 90
In an 8 hr game there is 960 euro off the table.
How can u beat a 1/2 game with that load consistantly ??

i knew it wasn't my fault i was losing :)

I tend to tip a dealer more if she's really hot.
