100fo, down to 17. I pick up 99 in lp. A player ahead of me goes all in for 14k (blinds are 700/1500). He's called by a LAG (also huge stacked) to my right. I have 22k.

    Call? Push? Fold?

I knew that pushing would pretty much mean an insta-call from the LAG, only 8k more to win 58k - not even a close decision. I thought about calling and having a look at the flop, but with only 8k behind, he's not going to be afraid of betting out on any sort of flop and forcing me to push.

Folding didn't even cross my mind tbh - should it have?
I push and get called. First raiser has 88, LAG has A9, hits an A on the turn and IGHN. I believe I played the hand correctly, and was just unlucky to go out, but there's always that sneaking suspicion that perhaps I should have folded and waited for a "better" spot -- after all, 99 is not really that strong a hand against a raise and a call

    I think i'd muck 99 myself there.

Fold, your against a 2 overpairs at worst and at best they have 4 overcards, or 2 overcards and 1 underpair, but I'm guessing your behind or will be behind by the time the cards are dealt, fold and wait for a better chance. 99 is not a big hand and its even a smaller hand with a raise or that sort of action in front of you.

With the call after the push, I'd fold.

With your stack it's fold or push, either is good. I would consider folding purely because I prefer to be the raiser when I'm at the do or die stage and at most I only want to play with one opponent but pushing can be good when you know your opponents and can expect to be ahead often enough.

I push online. Live I probably fold and sit there for another hour or two before getting blinded out just outside the top 3/4

If you dont think the LAG has an overpair I think its a definite push, a lot of players will flat call with a small pair in that spot so theres a good chance your a favourite for the 16k sidepot leaving almost a freeroll for the whole pot.
