Im loooking for a vendor who can supply a surround sound system/amplifier in the living room for watching TV/DVD's/DivX's

    Low profile speakers.

It should be able to read from network attached samba servers.

Also multiroom wireless audio from the NAS.

Do it yourself: Xbox and XBMC. You could also use the Hauppage MVP. Not sure how the surround sound works with them though. Im assuming you only want the surround for DVD's anyway,

What kind of multiroom audio from the NAS do you have in mind? Slimserver has served me well over the year. The hardware is good quality.

i'd also be quite interested in the wireless surround sound part.

Coould i just buy a wireless 5.1 home cinema set up? Does that even exist? and would it be compatabile with a XBMC set up?

Basically you take the SPDIF out from your Xbox and it into your amp.

Wireless speakers are available, but they still need power obviously so it may not work for everyone!
