So, what did everyone think of this episode? An okay episode overall I thought, Owen Harper's character is developing quite a bit. Captain Jack seemed like a background character in this episode. "Looks good in a suit" Jones looked good in a suit. They'd want to start giving him changes of suit though or the character could get stale and dull.

Oh and did Ed Morgan and Lizzie remind anyone else of the Doctor and Rose? The first thing I thought when I saw Lizzie was "Oh my god, it's Rose after a feast of burgers and chips". Then Ed showed up in the Doctor's trenchcoat and quif and I thought "Okay, this must be deliberate :)". I was half expecting the Rose voiceover to come on "And this is the story of how I died. Post-watershed version".

I think it's picking up it's pace slightly. Yes, they would want to give Ianto more to do, though I'm sure he'll be the focus of an episode soon enough, seem as we saw more of Owen this week

It's growing into tis own shoes, give it another two eps and we should be well on our way.

All references to Who gone already, I'm glad it didnt turn out to be a runaround a lot story, but you can forgive me for thinking it due to the trailer.

I dont like the slow motion walk with voiceover at the start, it would have been nice to see someone eating a bag of chips walking in slow motion behind them.

Nice to see that aul Blake is still hanging on in there, see they're already angling at Jack and Gwen getting it on.

And yes, Ian must do more than make the tea, my guess is he isnt actually human, or somefink.

    Getting better.

Oh, and a Cyberwoman next week. Well, why not?

According to next week's episode description,
Ianto is strongly connected to the Cyberwoman

Thought this was decent enough, but not outstanding. The characters are growing - even ComputerGirl got a bit more to do here and Owen was more than just the CheekyChap. Even if it was a forced emotion, I actually got the sense he cared about the events regardless (and damn Stark for making that moment into a comedy with his "she looks like Rose after a few burgers comment" had us all laughing :D).

I think that the idea that Jack was the lead has to be re-examined by me - he only gets as much screentime as Owen, with Gwen the capable leading person of the show. Although I still abhor the idea of them two getting together, it being incredibly tired and clichéd.

Oh any chance that we can spoiler information about future episodes? I don't like knowing what's going to happen in advance! Cheers.

Yep, folks please keep anything you know about the future hidden in grey.

I usually only mention what you see in the "next weeks show" bit at the end of this weeks meself but i also forget that many people dont have BBC3 and are only seeing this ep tonight. In effect I'm telling you whats going to happen two shows ahead so in future i'll grey it. If anyone forgets to do that, please dont be offended if i put spoiler tags in your posts so as to keep the suspense for others.

    Cheers.

    I just watched it.

Must admit I enjoyed it, fairly dark episode, although the Capt Jack cheer up bit at the end seemed a bit forced, to try and make the episode end on an upbeat note. Would have prefered a more downbeat ending.

Not liking the obvious Gwen and Jack get together plotline much. As other posters have said its not necessary and cheapens the series.

Liked the use of cheeky chappy in this episode. Very nice character development. Better than him being the cold smartarse like he was in the first 2 episodes.

Without the alien device it would have been like an episode of the Bill - which aint too bad a thing. (Old school police Bill not later Soapy Bill)

All in all I enjoyed it.

Gets an extra point from me for having Gareth 'Blake' Edwards Guest Starring. Although time hasnt treated him well. ;)
