If its any consolation I've tried a few times to organise runs here too and no one from this forum turned up either or even showed an interest. Fortunately I know a lot of real car enthusiasts locally and they never turn down an invite.

No offence, but I don't think you have the right to be so annoyed with people not showing up at "11am in Boyle, Co. Roscommon", particularly after your recent confessions of fabrications on this forum. From memory Boyle is not a 1 street town and I believe you're the only classic car owner in Roscommon on this forum.

So you expect people to give up their saturday to travel to Roscommon on the off chance of catching you in the right place in Boyle and on the off chance that you're not pulling their leg again?

    erm, Andy/Adam,

Few quick points here, bit of a repeat of what has gone before:
    • How many people promised that they would go?
    • If they did promise to go they are allowed to not turn up, even voting isn't compulsory in this country!
    • Following on from all the messing around when you had another name, I wouldn't be rushing out to meet you, don't be surprised if others don't.
    • Even in Dublin on a cruise with a months notice on boards, three cars would be a great number, Roscommon isn't close to a lot of people.
    • Do not get angry about this to us, this is your hobby and is supposed to be fun, we on this forum have not done anything grossly unpleasant to you. If you are finding yourself frequently angry, or prone to hyperbole then may I suggest another hobby.

    0.00 Start out at Firhouse,Dublin Unclassified 0.00
    ...

    0.03 Arrive at Boyle,Roscommon N61 107.41
    - Section time 2:55, Total time 2:55

Bit of a spin to try catch someone in an old car with vague meet details. Then I'd have to go home. Bear in mind that most people would worry about taking an oldie on a journey like that. Organise it better next time, or attend one of the many shows around. they have built up a following over the years, and it's best to capitalise on their momentum, if you understand me.
