While ive never been a fan of Cannibal Corpse or the aforementioned Tar, I would certainly venture for both Blind Guardian and Saxon. And In Flames look to be quite good too! Tickets are apparently criminally cheap too for a 3 day festival. On the other hand, I was tempted to go to Bang Your Head, although this line up doesnt make me confident!

I wonder can I get off work for this, probably not.
Anyway, In Flames put on a good show if you haven't seen them. I'm not a fan of their music but they are still crowd pleasers, the singer is quite funny.
The concert is so cheap, if only Ireland was like that.

EDIT: I think the lineup of Bang Your Head looks pretty shoddy there...

I have to agree. But im holding out for the obligatory 80s Glam band that will come on the scene, as they have done every year for the past 10. EdGuy I would like to see, and if I hadnt of missed Blind Guardian I would be dead on EdGuy and Thunder, but as it is ill have to see. Still, you cant argue with 60Euro for a Bang Ur Head Ticket and T-Shirt!

And Waken is 79Euro I believe this year, not to plug Sentinel, but its a great place to get them certainly!

Tempted to try it out again this year myself... Gave it a miss the last few years as the line-up wasn't to my taste & got a bit sick of going.. But at the moment, the confirmed bands aren't too bad at all - main draws: Blind Guardian, Therion, Grave Digger & Stratovarius.
AFAIK tickets are €99 - they are charging a €20 service charge this year. Apparently they charged €15 last year when ya got there, so most people were well pissed off, so this year they're charging it when you buy your tickets. You get a bag full of bits & bobs for the money I think - a torch, a blowup pillow, flyers, catalogues etc.
Wanted to buy the Xmas package but was a bit slow - you get a free t-shirt & cd I think, but it sold out within a few days!

I could see Hammerfall and Rhapsody (of Fire) playing this, both new albums, high chances, if they do I'll definately be there! :rolleyes:
