    hello all!

    I'm having a fairly **** time of things lately!

    I've been trying to update the driver for my Nvidia Geforece 7800GTX for some time now!It seems like every driver I try to download comes out with this message when I try to install:

    "The contents of this file cannot be unpacked.The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted.Please download the file again and verify the source" etc

    I mean I tried installing two different files from the Nvidia web-site and both of them are giving this message!

    Can anyone help?Anyone had any problems with the nvidia site or is this just me???

    Paul :(

    There is a chance the file your downloading is corrupt due to a bad ethernet driver that is present on some nForce motherboards.

    Do you have an nForce 4 board & have experienced corrupted downloads from other sites ?

    {At time of writing this file downloads from NVIDIA's site are working fine for me, no corruption issues}

    damn it!

    well I'm running an ASUS-A8N SLi Deleux motherboard,a 7800 GTX video card,AMD 3200+ CPU!

    I don't know what to do!Maybe I need to get drivers from someone else's computer and then try and install them here!

    :(

    Did you use the drivers that came on the Asus CD for the motherboard ?

    If yes then in all likely hood you do have the older drivers that caused the corruption, a simple fix is to disable TCP offloading & that will stop the problem.

    An easier solution is download the 6.86 nForce drivers from someone else's net connection as the fix for the corruption issue was included in the drivers a few versions back. Installing the latest driver will automatically disable TCP offloading in the ethernet controllers properties.
