I have a 2nd Gen 20GB iPod. It was working perfectly up to last week. The problem is that if I fully charge it and then use it for say 15 - 20 mins and then turn it off .. The next day the battery is totally flat.

Looks like my battery is Goosed?
    What are my options?
I see batteries for sale on Ebay with a ipod opening tool but I'am a little sceptical of these.

    Any ideas? Thanks

Yea the battery is mashed. Your best option is to buy one of those replacement kits, although im sure there are better places to get them than ebay. You are lucky in a sense that you have a second gen ipod, they are easier to open and replace the batteries. The 4th gens are a good bit harder to do.

There is a place in Dublin that will replace the battery in 15 mins for about 79 Euro

    The website is mactive

They are based in Blanchardstown; I don't know anyone who has used their service but it can't be too bad

I have replaced the battery myself. Went fine. That was about 12 months ago.
