really what i want to know is if i have underrepresented my hand and got bluffed.

    Blinds 50/100

    Hero (7.5k)
    Villain (~5.5k)

LAG Scandie raises to 300. Called by Villian. I repop to 1.1k in LP with AA. LAG folds. Caller is a very tight player whose played only a couple of hands and taken a hit, though i am sure he got pushed off a better hand by the uber aggro scandie.

He was getting pissed off with the LAG cos he kept raising his blind.

Flop is Q102r(2650). check. i lash in 1.3k. called.

    Turn is a Q. check, i check.

River is another rag. he pushes. No straights or flushes.

I really dont think he is calling pre with xQ pre. So i had to put him on QQ-99. Im pretty sure this is a standard fold, but this came 2 orbits after i lay down QQ on a 234 board and was semi fuming when the push came on the river.

the plan was to play small pots early on somehow i didnt manage that

This is a horrible spot to be in. Played it as best you could too. Smells of 1010 or QQ or an out and out bluff knowing you can't call without a Q. This early, its a fold.

I think I'm betting the turn but it easy to say from here.

I lead for 2k on the flop. This is a horrible spot to be in. If he's as tight as you say he is then he either has quads, KK or the other AA. Statistically its more likely he has KK here. I think you should call but its close.

you assume he has QQ or TT, based on your check behind on the turn, but does his push support the idea he's milking you with a monster? I call here to his pocket pair that isn't QQ or TT.

I dont think you raised enough preflop. (you only charged 800 more into a 2150 pot (so he can call with a good few hands)
Still, I can find a call here, although I dont love it, but he can have a lot of hands that I beat, and the pot is pretty big, and its only 3k more (or so) to call (to win like 8k)

    Ya I call.

I think he sees a 5.2K pot and a bit of weakness and it's worth pushing his remaining 2.6K in to try and take it.

i was wondering about the preflop raise, perhaps thats where the hand went wrong. commiting him on the flop would have been ideal.

after the fold, my gut told me it was right. he kind of did the surprised look if you know what i mean, which in the past has told me it was good.

my thinking was that with the chips left i still had a very playable stack. also the fact that some tv camera was poked in my face kinda took me by surprise, but i dont think it had a bearing on the outcome.

The raise preflop need to be a little bigger, ie 1500 etc, make them pay to see the flop and that also tells you that they have a big pair or AK etc.

After the flop, you should have bet a pot size bet, your bet indicates a continuation bet and a lot of weakness, your check on the turn is total weakness and than a bad fold on the river as you were miles ahead. The only hand he could have had was 1010, QQ is not likely here as he would have reraise preflop, I think he would also have reraise the lag preflop with 1010 so I think he push you off the hand. It all depends on your weakness or strenght up to this stage, but the mistake is the bet on the flop, very weak. If he had 1010 or QQ I think he would have tried to get a extraction bet out of you, so KK is more likely.

Unlucky, but you have to play these hands fully, just because its the start of the tourney makes no difference, better go out early than the bubble with AA.

But whatever he had, he played it also terrible.

    How did you finish up?

went out 20mins before end of day one when i made a move preflop but didnt get through!

it was a very close call at the time, and yeah i may have been bluffed theres always the chance but i was very unsure of where i stood and the check on the turn is soo weak that the call on the end is prob right.
