I'm thinking of buying a nokia N91 on ebay sim free, I'm with Vodafone and I was wondering if it would be possible for Vodafone to set it up with 3G as they dont do the phone themselves?

New simfree Nokia come with wizard software that will setup the phone for you. You select the network and your pre-pay or post pay. Its in Tools Settings Wizard. Have fun...

be aware that some of the vodafone live features won't work
others have had this problem with similar "non-vodafone" phones

This is possibly because the setting wizard creates a number of vodafone APN, isp.vodafone.ie, being the default.... In order to use the vodafone live features, you must use the live.vodafone.ie APN. You must set this as the default or enable APN slection on request, i.e. it will give you a list of APNs to use when your open the services link.
