SNES parts?

It's a bit of a longshot I know, but my SNES AC Adapter finally died on me recently. I still use it from time to time and would like to get a replacement part for it, but I've not been able to find any official info from the Nintendo sites about where I might buy a replacement. I've checked local hardware stores for variable-power adapters - none of them have the right power settings unfortunately.

However, I've seen a bunch of US sites listing them as available (like nintendorepairshop.com) - has anyone used any of these? Is there anywhere closer to home where I could pick up something that'll do the trick?

Ebay have the offical power supply for nes/snes consoles or you could probably use a variable power adaptor.

I've seen a good few listings on eBay alright, but I'm kind of keeping that as a last resort...not a huge fan of eBay but if it's the only way to get the part then so be it.

The local pound shops usually sell them for a couple of euro and it worked for me when i lost the adaptor for a set of speakers. I think the pal snes is 9v so the argos adaptor wouldn't work
