Ever since I got sky digital I never had any of the 4 Irish channels, how do you tune them in and whats the frequency stuff etc?

I take it you are in Kilkenny and have an Irish Sky subcription? You have RTÉ 1 on 101 etc, but the "For your information 08" banner is displayed?

If so, you have a confused Sky card. It thinks its a UK card, but with the Irish EPG. You should have access to the Channel 4 and five using the "other channels" method.

Have a look at the sticky for tuning in the BBC and ITV channels, but in your case, use the following numbers.

12304, H, 27.5, 2/3 (for five)
12168, V, 27.5, 2/3 (for Channel 4)

If you want to get the Irish Channels, and lose the ability to get Ch4 and five, then you will have to ring Sky, they will send a signal back down to the card. Have your viewing card number handy.

Tell us if I'm correct in the assumption at the start of the post. It was a problem a few years ago, seldom hear of it now.

Also of note is that the Irish channels are only available as part of the Variety Mix, so if you do not subscribe to this "Mix" you don't get them (as it's now an option to choose 2, 4 or all 6 Mixes).

No. You need one of three cards:
Current UK subscription
Cancelled UK sub on a current dark blue/ yellow house unkilled card
FTV /Freesat from Sky/Solus card (dark blue / yellow house).
A confused Irish card that shows UK EPG (BBC1 = 101) and RTE doens't work (from new).

NO kind of other card works. Entering frequency does not work.
