battery icon

    i have a medion MD96400 laptop

    just today, the battery icon has dissappeared from the system tray, its quite annoying.
    started chraging it and it hasnt appeared either

    checked in te properties and also in control panel, couldnt see it anywhere

    anyone any ideas?

    Go to power options in Control Panel.

    In the Advanced Tab there is a tick box called "Always show icon in the task bar".

    If that doesn't work, then there may be a Medion specific piece of software running.

    You have to disable the button and then click apply/Okay. Then click it again and click apply/okay. There is a bug in XP where that icon disappears coming out of hibernation most of the time but it can happen at other times too. It is unbelievably annoying.

    Do you have the hide inactive icons option enabled (can you see an arrow beside the icons in the system tray)?
