fair play to them. unlike its sister channeld rte 2, tg4 continues to cover gaa matches all year round, be it national league or club championship. cant remember if they got the club championship final this year but in previous years RTE2 butted in for the finals.

anither great things, is that although i think michael lyster is a great anchor man and pat spillane can be hillarous, tg4 gets ride of that talk and just shows the matches.

GAA beo is brilliant especially for those who be watching tv late at night.

I also think that TG4 has done very well in covering the club and League matches.

The best thing about them, IMO, is the commentators. Even if you aren't fluent in Gaeilge at least you know that he is excited about the game he is commentating on.

RTE have that insufferable duo of marty Morrisey and, worse still. Ger Canning who never seem to be that interested in the game or getting facts right.

May TG4 continue to provide top class GAA coverage - also they have been screening the St. Patrick's finals for the last 4 or 5 years at least.

TG4 is great for sport, showing lots of stuff which is neglected by RTE. Tá sé go híontach na cláracha a cloisteail i nGaeilge. Keep it up Tá TG4 go híontach freisin ó thaobh fostaíocht - tás é an tábhactach do mhuintir na Ghaeltachta postanna a fháil sa Ghaeltacht.

Last May I was working at a match and was in the press box beside the commentators from TG4. Really nice guys, even let me plug in my laptop when the battery died. Plus they managed to carry on seemlessly when we came under attack from some of the Navan supporters. Bottles and everything were being thrown at them, but you wouldn't have known. Top class!

TG4 seems to be doing a number of things right in the way of sport alright - I recall last December watching the underdogs beat Kerry in what I thought was a fantastic game. Admittedly I was thrashed in a boozer, but I still thought that was an amazing game. Was I just off my rocker, or was it a decent game??

It was December 2004, not last December. Last December the Underdogs hurlers were playing Kilkenny in Nowlan Park. This year its the turn of women's football, AFAIK.
