This is a shame as i'm a big belfort fan, having said that i kinda had a feeling he was taking something. When he was fighting Marvin Eastman a couple of
years ago he was like a body builder and he could have gave Ronnie Coleman
    a run for him money....:D

ok maybe not Ronnie Coleman but some other big fooker..

    That's a shame if true.

I think none of us should be shocked when athletes at this level test positive for AAS.

I'm not at all shocked. The news here is not that Nastula and Vitor on roids, thats old news, the news is that they tested positive for it.

It all makes the sport look terrible. We're all pitbulls, with tats, wearing beanies and wife beaters and doing roids.

    Peace

I think it highlights the fact that a lot more Pride fighters are taking steroids than fighters in the UFC.

It's obviously due to a lack of regulation over there. I would imagine that the roids in their systems was from their last fights.

The funny thing is they both lost anyway so I don't really care.

"I think it highlights the fact that a lot more Pride fighters are taking steroids than fighters in the UFC."

    that's pure speculation.

Josh Barnett, Kimo and Sylvia have all tested positive for banned substances under UFC contract. I don't think it highlights very much.

Given that testing is not mandatory in Japan, it might encourage some fighters to take steroids, but it doesn't mean they all do.

Victor tested positive for 4-hydroxytestosterone, which is NOT an anabolic steroid but a pro-hormone and NOT illegal in the USA although is an banned by the NSAC.

While judoka Pawel Nastula tested positive to traces of Nandrolone (Deca). Testing for Nandrolone & proving it is particularly hard as it can be shown to been resident in the body from some pro-hormones (again) and ingestion of large amounts of cattle meat.

Maybe he ate a cow before the fight?

Who know's, but nandrolone 'positives' have proved easy to explain in alot of cases in the past.

Btw, was it only the loser's who were tested?. If so, why would the Pride people do that
