I was in the SE last night and got a lift home with the man himself.

He told me of his downfall along with some fairly entertaining anecdotes.

He had Barney Boatman on his right. At some point he turns around to Barney and says "I know you from the tele. You were in the Irish Open last year. You pretended to shoot a gun at Dave Masters after he reraised you before the flop. You'd wanna be careful with things like that. There's loads of provos over here and you never know who's looking on so watch yourself."

Barney: "Ah I was only joking"

Chief: "Ah yeah I know but just watch yourself"

Lol.

So anyhoo Chief has 40k in chips outta 80k in play.

Blinds 300/600. Chief raises with Qc4c. 2 callers see a flop of AcKc2

Checked to him and the Chiefbets 10k putting both players allin. The first guy goes into the tank for ages and eventually folds A9. The Chief reckons the other guy saw his hand and eventually calls with AJ. No clubs for the chief.

So Chiefs knocked back down to 29k and gets involved with the sme guy in this hand. I'm not sure who played it worse.

Chief raises to 5k preflop with AJo. Guy calls from the blinds with QT.

Flop 578 with 2 hearts. Chief has Ah.

Your man checks, Chief bets 5k. Guy calls.

Turn 9h. The guy checks and Chief bets another 5k. Guy calls.

River 6.

Guy goes allin. Chief thinks ah ffs chop chop and instacalls.

That was all she wrote.

"That was my one shot at the big time. I take that down and get to the final table, they'll all know me. Chief Brody. I'll be playin all the big ones. Made for life on the big bucks"

LOL at the barney boatman comment!! I doubt theyll be showing that in the final cut Quite a poignant quote from the chief at the end, have to feel a bit sorry for him

yeah i saw him last week and i got chatted to him for the first time and he pretty much told me the same thing.
he was not happy at all that the guy kept calling him with a Q high and then with a inside draw.
on another note i dont think he likes me no more .
on Thu night in the jackpot he was on my table and had position on me(oh bollix).
few hands in to the game and still in the first level(25/50) this hand happens:
few limpers and i limp on the button with 6c8c .cheif is in the BB and checks his option.

flop : 337
he bets out 400 and every one fold to me on the button and i call.

he bets out 800 and i think and make it 2500 .
he thinks and folds ,i show the bluff and he looks at me as in how dare you little feck...

few hands later and and i limp with 55 UTG .few limpers including him.

river is A and i put him all in and he calls and shows J3o .
he wasnt happy with me.

lol.... i was talkin to him during the week, told me a few stories as well... he's nuts..

he mentioned that liam flood was on his table, liam try'd to introduce the cheif as anto.. cheif says nooooo liam you got it wrong mate im the CHEIF and dont forget it pal....
