The highly anticipated reunion of Ronnie James Dio, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward appears to be shaping up and taking a new form.

After various promoters have approached their respective management; the guys have started taking all of this very seriously, as they have wanted to reunite for some time now. It looks as if the new shape may be that of Heaven and Hell. Yes, that's the moniker that the band is likely to use on their new venture.

If all goes well, Heaven and Hell should be hitting the road in early 2007.

Check the official Website www.ronniejamesdio.com or the official Myspace frequently for tour updates!

    Interesting...

    Well i found it interesting.

I find that quite Interesting too Magnum.

Sharon was interviewed recently on Opie and Anthony Show and commented on whether Ozzy would approach the members of Black Sabbath for a 40th anniversary reunion in 2008.
Osbourne also made a quick reference to a possible 40th anniversary tour for BLACK SABBATH in 2008

This looks to be the next logical step, since most people assume Ozzy will spearhead some kind of reunion in 2008, maybe the other BS members are determined either a) not to give him the chance by having their own reunion with Dio or b) we've nearly reached 30 yrs since Dio replaced Osbourne (1979) anyway so perhaps thats on the cards first before the 40th with Ozzy (1968)

Why not use BS though? Its not like Ozzy owns the name or anything.

    Mike.

Good point. Then again, the name of Black Sabbath could be so intertwined with Ozzfest and Ozzy Osbourne at this stage (Wikipedia states the band are still going with the original lineup) and Black Sabbath played the original Live Aid with Ozzy that the fans would nearly expect to see Ozzy at the helm and by having a tour without him it would both a) sour relations with Sharon and Ozzy for possible future endevours, b) ruin the chances of a 40th anniversary tour in 2008 and c) from a financial point of view, the members of Black Sabbath and their concert promoters would tend to make a lot more money if they did this tour this way and then approached Ozzy for a BS reunion.
