Apologies if I'm not in the right forum for this...basically I'm looking for a place that sells 'decent' office chairs.

Most office-chairs basically use the same cheap generic mechanism, I'm looking for one with the following...

    1. Adjustable/Inflatable lumar support
    2. Adjustable arm-rests
    3. Full length at the back, including headrest
    4. ...and leatherrrrrrrr.

I've a budget of up to about €1K. It may seem a lot, but as I sit on my arse most of the day and am developing back-problems, I hope it will be a good investment.

Anyone know of any specialist outlet/shop?

Not sure of any specialist stores but have you had a look at Viking Direct?

There's a back shop* just off Georges St. I can't remember the name but it's beside the Dunnes :o

    *I think that's the name...

This might sound silly, but learn to sit correctly too. The best chair in the world won't save you from your own bad habits.

I can't suggest anywhere either but I'd like to echo mmenarry's suggestion. While a good office chair will help a lot it's also very important to get the ergonomics right aswell. Most people I have worked have had their work area setup poorly resulting in unnecessary tension on the back and neck.

If you havn't already looked into it you should be able to find some good guides online that demonstrate the optimal setup. Also, if your back is playing up then a reminder on you PC to take a minute to get up, stretch and move around every so often could really help too.
