    does anyone know if it is possible tp take a break from paying back a personal loan for a few months, do any banks facilitate this ?

    It can be done, but at the banks discretion. Normally they won't do it on a whim, but if there are circumstances involved a chat with the lending official might be a good idea.

    well situation is leaving fulltime employment for a year (say collage) and will only be on a low wage,hopefully if they see my situation they might come to some agreement.

    They might, but in those circumstances, they are not obliged in the least.

    If it was your choice to voluntarily leave employment, they will take a dim view. Banks aren't in the business of adjusting the contracts they sign with you to suit your lifestyle choices.
