I went down and paid into this yesterday. I'm feeling like I'm playing well at the moment, and I've recently gotten alot better at the early stages of tournaments, something which in the past I wasn't great at. I'd set my limit for buying into any event at €3k, so in accordance with this I'm going to sell off 40% of myself for €2k. In the past when doing this I charged a premium to cover expenses too, as I was travelling to tournaments outside of Ireland. Because this isn't the case for this one, if you buy 1% you get 1%, not 0.7% or whatever it was in the past. So, €100 = 2%. If anybody's interested just reply here or send me a pm. I'm going to try and collect all the money before Thursday when it begins. Cheers!

    Dave,

I'll take 5% = €250. I'm afraid not to support you. :) I'll put it into your account if you like.

That looks like 41% sold. Dave, what happens?

Cheers for all the support. Everyone who replied before this is in, I'm full up now though. I'm heading out now, I'll get back to all of you later regarding how to get the cash etc, but I know all of you so there's no rush. Thanks again.

LOL. I don't mind going a bit over. Most of you here have sorted me out in the past, I think you're my number one backer Sean, so I couldn't exactly turn you away. Plus if I sort Tom out with a percentage he might report that my AA got cracked rather than the truth which will probably be that I went out with 6 high. :p

I don't have anyone backed so best of luck to all those that I know, which at this point amounts to RoundTower, Daithio, NorwichFanRob and pppspecial. I am sure there are probably a couple of other boardies playing, as well as others that I know from the Fitz such as Peter Heslin, so best of good luck to all them.

I hope it is an Irish clean sweep, but those damn scandies will take some stopping.

Dom seeing as you missed everyone else, there's still 95% of me left. A bargain at €4500.

Probably the best 8k investment you'll ever make.

Edit: You're lucky as I just got a few pms offering me a little more. I told the guy who offered me 10k that a deals a deal and I'm sorry. Looks like today is your lucky day.

Agreed, best of luck all. It would be great to see an Irish winner, especially one of the regulars here.

Will there be one handed blind omaha satellites in the Regency for this?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,754 ✭✭✭ianmc38

Lol €500 blind Omaha satellite? I thought I was a degenerate. Might play a couple of €50 blind omaha feeders.

    Best of luck.

    Quick Question:
It these situations what happens by default if a ticket is won to the grand final say along with final table money.
Does the % carry through to final event or you pay back % of value of package or is package off limits?

The percentages being sold here is for the main even not a satellite. Am I missing something in your question?

I would imagine in that unlikely event that the Monte Carlo thing would not be included, but hey, it'd be a nice problem for Daithio to have to think about.

Using my powers of ESP I think Daithio says NFW. :)

It's actually a "problem" Dave did have to think about before. When he was HU against Alex Stevic in Barcelona EPT 2004, with the winner to get a seat into the Monte Carlo grand final on top of the €80,000 first prize, Dave and Alex agreed that the Barca runner-up would have a % share (20% I think) in the winner at Monte Carlo.

Alex prevailed in Barcelona and went on to finish 3rd in the Grand Final for €178,000 (Dave received this news by text message while he was on a train in India). Dave had been backed for the Barcelona tourney by his dad John, so I think there were some negotiations between father and son after Dave received the news, concluded amicably for all concerned, I might add!

If I do end up winning the ticket to Monte Carlo then the percentages follow through. That's the only fair way, it's part of the prize afterall. Myself and my Dad came to a slightly different agreement when Alex won the money :) , but he's my Dad so I didn't feel too bad about that. :p
