Cause it's just been put out of business by Sony:

I'd heard they'd lost the legal battle over the PSP importing that happened over 2 years ago but didn't think this would happen :-/

Note: I would have posted this is a general Games > Console forum but there isn't one and I frequent here so chose here.

Prob best in the games forumn (more traffic) but as for the news.... I'm shocked. Was only on it yesterday looking at xbox 360 games... Wonder what will happen to the orders they've already taken

EDIT just read that they will refund any money taken. Sony are not painting themselves in a good light with this, Lik Sang was fairly popular in Europe as I'm sure it was in Hong Kong.

Right, that's it, I'm going to start a rebel alliance, Sony have gone too far this time, Lik-Sang served me well with a choice selection of DS games. Oh yes, about the rebel alliance, dibs on me being Han Solo.

Apparently, lik-sang just rolled over and died:
Lik-Sang did not contest this case (i.e. they did not turn up and therefore incurred no legal costs). We have been awarded substantial costs against Lik-Sang which have not been paid. We would therefore strongly deny that our actions have had anything to do with this website closing (we assume the legal entity is still trading), and would suggest that this release is sour grapes on behalf of Lik-Sang which is aimed to belittle Sony Computer Entertainment and the British judicial system that found against them

Bad news, Lik-Sang has always been brilliant down through the years.

Not quite. Sony took them to court in several countries at once and Lik Sang couldn't represent themselves in all regions becuase of costs.

At least thats the rumour going round gamespot forums.

It's well known that Sony hates their customers. But somehow, there is some kind of Reality Distortion Field (maybe similar to the one Steve Jobs puts on Apple hardware) that makes people continue to buy their stuff.

Proprietary connectors and memory chips, illegal rootkits, crazy licence/usage restrictions and so on.

Is it any wonder I haven't bought a Sony product in over 6 years, even though I really wanted a PS2.

Well my brother had a PS2 so I didn't have to buy one.

I have a Sony DVD player because it was dirt cheap from Xtra Vision and my last product prior to that was a minidisc player which is the product that made me decide not to buy anymore Sony products.

It said that it supported MP3 files but in reality it meant the software that shipped with it supported them and would convert them to the atrac format for the minidisc player. That pissed me off into buying an iPod.

I remember that what it actually did was take what ever file you had (MP3 if you had a brain and ATRAC if you used their software) and re-expanded it to a regular minidisc. So you compressed the file then the software decompressed it on to a mindisc why would I need to do that  It saved no space I was hoping that like a CD the minidisc would the hold loads of albums but be on a mini disc but no it still just held maximum 4 X 75mins worth of music when set to 4LP(or whatever)
