Hopefully this is not too late for some of you to attend.....

On October 26th ISSA Ireland, in association with University College Dublin, will hold the second Irish Cybercrime Forum, featuring two of the leading cybercrime experts in Europe: Bernhard Otupal, head of cybercrime at Interpol, and Neil Hare-Brown, founder of QCC Information Security and author of the Information Security Incident Response Methodology. Joining these guest speakers will be representatives from ISSA Ireland, an Garda Siochana and the newly formed Center for Cybercrime Investigation at UCD.

Following on from last years event which addressed the prevention of cybercrime, this year the event will focus on the organisational impact of cybercrime, providing a valuable education for anyone working in IT or information security.

In addition to serving as a valuable educational event, October 26th will see the launch of the first survey on cybercrime in Ireland, the ISSA / UCD Irish Cybercrime Survey. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the structure and goals of the survey, to discuss the survey with members of the project team, and of course provide data for the survey itself.

For more information about this exciting event please see www.issaireland.org/cybercrime and note that registration is required as this event was oversubscribed in 2005. For any questions please contact Cybercrime@ISSAIreland.org.
