    I was going to add this to the HDTV thread – but i'm only looking at lcd monitors, as I'm going to use my mac with this. Can anyone recommend between these;

    Samsung ftw. I dont understand how dell can get away with charging so much for their sub par monitors. Is an extra 100:1 contrast ratio worth over €200 more?? Didnt think so. If it's for xbox 360 use as well then the 6ms response time will be a lot better than 16ms

    Samsung produce the best TFT screens.

    Definitely Samsung. It's a good brand.

    The price for the Dell is shocking, what a rip-off!

    About to order the Samsung 19" syncmaster with tv tuner off hardwareversand.de when I get paid, which is... Thursday. Mmmm pay.

    Yep Samsung, I am sure the Dell would not come close.

    I got a 20.1" LG HD with TV tuner for €400 bills, it's nice looking too.

    Tried ordering the samsung syncmaster 940mw off hardwareversand.de, only problem seems to be that they don't take credit cards. They want me to use a bank transfer to pay them. Sounds incredibly dodgy I know but I lived in Germany for a year and that's generally the way things are done there. They love bank transfers and don't like credit cards. Still not going to do it though. Any of the German sites that do take credit cards won't ship to Ireland for some legal reasons so it looks like I'll be getting the Acer 19" monitor for my 360.

    Yep its hard to find german sites that accept credit card and a lot of the ones that do add a credit card charge on top. Anyways, paid for the samsung lcd from hoh.de on friday by bank transfer and it was shipped yesterday so cant complain :)

    and i think the same tv was 80 euros cheaper on the german komplett than the irish komplett...........now thats a shock :rolleyes:
