Nokia Car Kit Problem

I have a cark 7w with cradle for my nokia 6230i.

I had it installed 4 months ago, and I bought it second hand on ebay. Anyway to cut a long story short, it no longer connects.

When I put my phone in the cradle, it detects it, but does not charge it. Then about 20 seconds later I get a message saying "Enhancement not supported"

Essentially I don;t need the cradle anyway, but the bluetooth might pick up my phone every day for a week, then not the next week. Very sporadic.

Do I need a new cradle/ phone upgrade?

    Thanks

First thing to do is clean the connectors on the cradle, use really really light sandpaper or an emory board.
And also clean the connectors on the phone. See how it works then.
As far as the blue tooth bit is concerned, sounds like you need to reset the carkit, by disconnecting all power and reconnecting it.
The phone not connecting via bluetooth got to be such a pain, I put a switch on the car kit, all I do is turn it of and on again, and the phone connects, and it works fine for a few days.
I know a lot of people with this kit, and they all have the same problem.

As the doktor says but I would try and clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. It should clean without eroding the contacts like the emery paper will do.
