that link dosent work mate. but im guessing you either want a s-video - vga, or vga - vga ( depending on laptop ) or s-video - dvi or vga - dvi.

On your laptop is it a roundish connection ?

And on the laptop is it just piholes ? or pinholes and a small... for lack of a better work.. a small indent for a flat wide pin ?

Are you looking for a cable for inside the laptop?

Or a cable to connect from the outside of the laptop to an external LCD? If it is the latter, then it is a standard VGA cable you need.

a cable for the inside of the laptop.

the signal going to the laptop's lcd is not right. and the lcd is fine and using an external monitor is fine.

You mean the ribbon cable that links internally the LCD display to the output of the GPU in the notebook.

Hmm not sure where one would acquire that as they can be fairly unique in design though Dell may follow some sort of standard with it's designs.

First stop would be Dell of course.
Also try eBay or specialist laptop repair outfits (example of 9300 ribbon cable).

Do a Google search for "Dell inspiron 9300 LCD ribbon cable" & that's were you will find some good places to start.
