    I don't think it's officially released yet

Have been using custom builds for a while now - http://www.furbism.com/firefoxmac/

Excellent stuff with some handy add-ons included.

Firefox is a web browser like Internet Explorer, but much better and faster. It is available for Windows and Linux based PCs too though.

I installed Firefox 2.0 last night, and I like it. They've also tightened up the user interface.

I'm gonna wait until they update all my extensions, and my current fave theme (iPox). Until then 1.5x will do.

    It's been offically released! http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/

Looks good. Looks a bit better on mac, but still needs to improve. Some controls still don't render properly, e.g. look at the difference between the buttons on google on Firefox and Safari. It looks ugly and Windowsy.

The toolbar at the top still doesn't look like a mac toolbar.

And some of my extensions don't work. Essential ones :(

I installed a few days ago and like it OK. But there's something it does that's a bit weird...

if you view an identical jpeg in Safari and Firefox, they render differently as shown in this comparison jpeg - firefox on the left, safari on the right.

If you want to try it yourselves, here's the URL for the image.

    Weird - I don't understand at all

I'm guessing that's just the different rendering engines -- Apple WekKit vs Mozilla Gecko (or is it Cairo?)

Well that's it, bye bye to Safari for me. All it seems to do is crash anymore. Firefox has its faults but it seems much more stable, at least to me.

Scrolling is ugly though and anything but "smooth".

Using the arrow buttons is a real pain, and the page up/down is far from smooth, as Professor says. It's just got to many glitches like that for me to be able to use it comfortably.

I alternate between Safari and Camino. Camino I like because it removes the block ads and annoying animated gifs.
